Dear KG2 Parents,
Your child will be performing a traditional Emirati dance on stage for the KG2 Arab Studies assembly on the 24th of November 8:30am to celebrate the upcoming UAE national day. We would like for your child to be dressed up in either:
· Traditional Emirati attire OR
· Plain white clothes (for boys) OR
· The colors of the UAE flag (red, green, white and black)
If they are coming dressed in traditional Emirati clothes, please make sure they are wearing their uniform underneath so that they will be able to comfortably participate in the rest of the day.
You do not need to purchase anything extra for this assembly. Please be creative with what you have at home. On Thursday November 26th the whole school will be having a celebration in recognition of the upcoming UAE National Day so the same clothes can be worn again. Additionally, we would like to request that the girls wear their hair down for the traditional dance. If you would like to send a band to have their hair tied back after the assembly, please do so.
Also, you will find a link to a video showing traditional Emirati games. The children have been learning about some of these traditional games in class. They may be able to share more with you at home. Below is a link you can paste into your browser:

There will be plenty of parent seating for the assembly in the upper back part of the auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there.
Regards,
KG2 Team and Arab Studies Department
