On Monday this week, we were so very lucky to have Kiana's mom, Mrs. Arti Madhav, join our class and share a little bit about her home country of South Africa. The students listened to South Africa's national anthem, learned about the animals that live there, heard a little about Nelson Mandela, tried some shortbread cookies and fritos, and of course, learned to dance the "waka waka (this time for Africa)" dance! Thank you so much for sharing your culture with us, Mrs. Madhav, we absolutely LOVED having you visit us!! Please have a look at the photos of our South African learning. :)
