Thank you to Lolowa's mummy who came in to teach us about Saudi Arabia. We found about about the food that they eat and we tasted dates. We found out about their national dress and about their wedding ceremonies! We loved your visit, thank you Reem! Tomorrow is the last day of our current unit of inquiry, 'Where We Are in Place and Time'. We have seen the children become so knowledgeable about themselves and their past. They have also made connections with their peers regarding their similar likes and dislikes, culture and countries. Here are a few last photos exploring our identity boxes. We will begin our next unit of inquiry, 'How We Organise Ourselves' on Sunday with the focus of this unit being on Transport. It was fantastic to see my little learners all dressed up for their future careers today.

The tree represents strength and we found out that they grow really big. We made flag of out own to frame. Thank you so much Angela! KoreaThank you to Maximus' mummy who came to teach us about Korea today. We taught us about the flag, the food and the clothes. After that we practised our chopstick skills. We found out about the pyramids and we saw a little video about things to do in Egypt. Thank you for our Egyptian bookmarks!! It was a great visit, thank you Nashwa. DenmarkThis morning we had a visit from Carna, Sienna and Marcus' mummies. They taught us about what Denmark was like. They told us about the stories of Hans Christian Anderson who is a famous Danish Author and they performed a story for us. This inspired us to make some puppets of our own so that we could perform some stories. It was a great visit. Thank you very much ladies!! LatviaWe had a visit from Zubin's mummy on Tuesday who taught us about Latvia. We found Latvia on the map and we found out about what the weather was like there. We saw pictures of their national dress and we saw some videos of singing and dancing. Our favourite part was looking at the dolls and trying on some of the clothes. Thank you so much for coming Alise!! Nagaland, IndiaThank you so much to Victoria's Mummy who came to teach us about the place where she is from in India, Nagaland. We found out about the different tribes that live there and the clothes and jewelry that they wear. We learnt about the landscape and the different jobs that the people there have. We also found Nagaland on the map of India.Thank you so much for your visit Shoshanna!! For the past few weeks we have been creating class constructed graphs. Thank you to everybody who came to help us with our Autumn celebration this week.
